Långan River System Expedition
This trip is now full. However we still have lots of other exciting Scandanavian expeditions:
› Sweden Malingsbo - Kloten Expedition
› Norway Winter Wilderness Expedition
› Scandinavia Hårkan River System Expedition
Our 2012 longest Scandinavian canoe expedition is the rarely paddled Långan River System. Starting in the mountains on the Swedish Norwegian border, you will paddle over 100 kilometers, through some of the most inspiringly dramatic scenery, rivers and lakes Sweden has to offer.
This true expedition in every way, will involve you using almost every traditional canoe skill, with us sailing, lining,
portaging and of course paddling the varied rivers and lakes you will travel along. With lakes up to 37km in length and rapids from grade 1 to a must portage, this expedition is a great way to develop all you paddling skills as well as being great fun.
The wildlife throughout the trip is abundant. During our 2011 trip we were lucky to see Moose, Beaver, Golden Eagle, leaping large Trout and much more.
Throughout the expedition you will get to stay in stunning wilderness camp sites, and will have time to soak up the breath taking scenery, carve a spoon or read a book. Each evening we will ensure you have a delicious meal usually cooked over a open fire, whilst enjoying the 24hr daylight.
