BCU 3 Star Canoe, White Water Kayak, Sea Kayak

Successful completion of the BCU 3 Star awards means that you can consider yourself an intermediate paddler.

CanoeFor Open Canoe the award requires you to be able to tackle moderate open water and easy moving water. For Kayak the award requires you to be able to tackle grade two white water and for Sea Kayak the award requires you to be able to tackle moderate tidal conditions.

For all 3 Star awards you must be able to tackle the conditions as part of a led group. This includes having the group awareness skills to be able to assist in the smooth running of such a trip.

Sea KayakThis course is two days of high quality tuition which for those who are at the required standard will include an assessment.  For those not quite ready for assessment yet, the two days of coaching will leave you with a clear way forwards to a successful assessment in the near future.
