Perceived disability, assumed vulnerability and apparent risk all conspire to limit access to outdoor and adventurous activities. Elements is keen to work in partnership to break through these barriers to participation.
Extraordinary Adventures
Rob and Mark have worked extensively with young people and adults with a wide range of physical and learning disabilities and mental health problems. Over the years we have learnt a few things (mostly nothing to do with disability!):
- Be open minded.
- Be ambitious.
- Be realistic.
- Be ruthlessly honest.
Remember that you don’t know what is possible until you try.
There is no standard package – every expedition or activity is
tailored to the needs of the group. However, costings are consistent
with the rest of our work. The main variables stem from necessary
ratios of specialist enablers and supporters – expertly managed
by the referring organisation.
Below are some examples of our work. If any of the examples stir your imagination or your ambition, please do get in touch. Let’s see what we can achieve together. Contact Elements ›
